Light & Health

Schuler Shook’s approach to lighting design promotes the creation of healthy and restorative buildings — the major tenets of the WELL Building Standard.

Our ongoing research into light and its impact on human health fits perfectly into the WELL Building Standard’s focus on the health and wellness of people in the built environment.

Our in-house Light & Health team keeps the lighting designers informed about the latest research in this developing scientific area. Following the guidance of shared research, we approach circadian lighting design by analyzing the intensity and the spectral properties of light. We combine scientific study with our own real-world lighting analysis for the most effective design implementations for our clients.
