Built as a roadhouse in 1900 for touring shows, the Colonial Theatre has been renovated for local theatre, concerts, and pre-Broadway productions.

Schuler Shook provided theatre planning services to enable the Colonial to serve many different types of events. The original hemp and sand bag rigging was replaced with new stage rigging and infrastructure and new rigging points were added above the auditorium ceiling to serve the demands of contemporary productions.

Renovation of the orchestra seating provides better sightlines, accessibility, and technical accommodations in the hall. 

All of the dressing rooms have been replaced and the stage areas maximized for flexibility and back of house support.
