The former Loew’s Kings Theater on Brooklyn’s Flatbush Avenue is one of the largest and most decorative venues in New York City. The renovation preserved its beauty while creating a fully-equipped, 3,200-seat modern performance space designed to support live music, dance and theatre productions.
Schuler Shook provided complete theatre planning services which included an extensive seating reconfiguration and over-build to improve comfort and sightlines. The stagehouse was expanded slightly and equipped with new lighting, rigging, and masking curtains. Large decorative curtains at the proscenium opening, auditorium and lobby were recreated from historic photographs.
