LD Dentons Thumb AS 57

Dentons US LLP

Chicago, IL

Dentons, a global law firm consistently named among the Top 20 Global Elite, relocated its Chicago office and required approximately 125,000 SF of new construction. The client desired a dynamic look and feel that expressed their office culture.

Working closely with Gensler, Schuler Shook’s lighting designers created energy efficient lighting schemes to support different types of work and interaction within each portion of the overall office. Examples of distinct design schemes include private offices, the boardroom, and the grand stair.

The overall design was also set to achieve LEED Silver certification. LED sources are used throughout, except where a comparable effect and lamp life can be achieved through T5 fluorescent.

Private offices feature an asymmetric uplight concealed above cabinets. A linear, LED under the cabinet provides tasklight. Artwork opposite the work wall” is highlighted by 4” square wallwashers.

The Boardroom features a large, modern pendant. 3” square downlights illuminate the table and perimeter seating. All conference rooms have a preset dimming system.
