What do architects and theatre planners need to know in order to design a great theatre building? And who is teaching the next generation of designers? Todd Hensley, ASTC, will join colleagues at the 2015 USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo to discuss the core elements of good theatre design.
The session, Getting to the Core: Footsteps to Becoming a Theatre Designer, will include Kevin Rigdon, Associate Director/Designer for the Alley Theatre in Houston and head of graduate design at the University of Houston; and Sonya Julian, an Associate and Project Architect with Pfeiffer Partners in Los Angeles. Greg Cook, Principal at architecture firm Holabird & Root will chair the session.
This session will be held Wednesday, 18 March 2015, and qualifies for AIA/CEU credits.
