Simon Austin, Melbourne
Respected audio engineer, sound and visual system designer and technologist. Lateral thinker and problem solver. Simon devises solutions for a wide range of AV and technical systems challenges. Simon says: “Don’t be afraid of AV. Okay…be a little afraid.”
Gabriela Jacobsen, Dallas
Lighting designer with twenty years of experience as a Certified Interior Designer and a background in fashion design. Well-rounded design perspective, team leader and good collaborator. Part of the team that recently designed the lighting for the Colosseum in Rome. Fluent in Romanian and Italian. If Gabriela had not become a designer, she would have been a chef.
Jess Goings, Chicago
Theatre background including Goodman Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Passion for the details, strong communicator. Jess started with Schuler Shook last fall and quickly proved her mettle, recently earning a promotion to Lighting Designer. She goes shoeless whenever possible and blames it on being from Tennessee.
Milan Anich II, Dallas
Technical theatre expert, artist and animator. Milan worked in community and school theatre programs and knows how to show his creativity on time and on budget. Software guru, artist and problem solver. Milan knows first-hand that scenic art is a full body experience.
Jason Burton, Minneapolis
Regional theatre and opera background, including recent work at the Children's Theatre Company and the Lake George Opera. Quick with a creative idea at meetings. Commercial scenic and television set builder. Jason and his wife are excited to welcome their first child to the world in April.
Chin-Yun Khorrami (Sonya), Chicago
Strong lighting background, a “doer” by nature, expert in expressing stories visually and graphically. Sonya completed several projects in Taiwan before coming to Chicago. Fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese. Sonya plans to visit all 50 states in the US of A in the next five years.
