Paul Whitaker, Senior Lighting Designer & Senior Theatre Planner, was nominated for a Connecticut Critics Circle award for his lighting design for Yale Repertory Theatre’s production of These Paper Bullets! an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, adapted by Rolin Jones with music by Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.
This spring Paul also lit the world premiere of Ode to Joy written
and directed by Craig Lucas at the Rattlestick Playwright’s Theatre, NY;
The Wong Kids and The Secret of The Space Chupacabra Go! at La Mama ETC
and the Children’s Theatre Company (CTC); Other Desert Cities at the
Alley Theatre; and Shrek at CTC. Upcoming productions include the world
premieres of Kingdom City at the La Jolla Playhouse and Seedfolks at
CTC.
