Joshua Grossman, ASTC, was elected President of the American Society of Theatre Consultants (ASTC) during the professional organization’s March meeting in Fort Worth, TX. The ASTC is a professional organization dedicated to informing performing arts venue owners, users and planners about the value of theatre consulting services.
A Principal in Schuler Shook’s Chicago office, Joshua has served on the Board of Directors for the ASTC since 2009 and works to promote the field of theatre planning through involvement in PLASA and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT).
He joined Schuler Shook in 2000, after ten years of working as a scenic designer, production manager and technical director in an array of fields, from theatre and special events to television and architectural restoration. He leads significant theatre planning projects for Schuler Shook’s Chicago office and provides leadership and mentoring for new consultants.
Joshua is currently busy with projects for the DePaul University School of Music, Chicago, IL; Roxy Center for Arts and Education, Clarksville, TN; and The University of Chicago Lab Schools, Chicago, IL. He is a graduate of Emerson College.
