Schuler Shook Lighting Specialist, Jackson Pattermann, received the IES Chicago Emerging Professionals' Luminaire Design Award for his latest design, Eclipse. His fixture generated a lot of buzz at the awards Thursday night, and took the prize in both the judges' competition and the People's Choice competition.
His design description poster notes that the Eclipse fixture is “an exploration of light and its absence.” Inspired by infinity mirrors, the design allows a repeating pattern of light and shadow to create what Jackson calls “a gentle luminescence and serene atmosphere.”
