Working in close collaboration with Rafael Viñoly Architects, Schuler Shook helped shape a versatile gathering space featuring a full-height upstage window wall that brings natural daylight into the room and offers views to the surrounding campus.
National Medal of Honor Museum - Col. Neel E. Kearby Theater
Arlington, TX
Schuler Shook provided theatre planning and design services for the 239-seat Col. Neel E. Kearby Theater at the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas. Opening March 25, 2025, the theater supports the museum’s mission to honor the nation’s bravest by offering an intimate and flexible venue for lectures, ceremonies, film screenings, and performances.
Blackout curtains allow the theater to transition seamlessly to events requiring controlled light or privacy.
Accessibility was integral to the design. Level entries, stage ramps, and inclusive seating options ensure the theater is welcoming to all, supporting meaningful moments of reflection, community, and celebration.
