Originally built in 1959, the four-story building with a 250-seat recital hall serves as the music department’s home. By expanding into the existing basement space below the recital hall, the 2017 renovation increased the acoustic volume of the hall. The platform now sits at the lower level with the seating raked between the two levels. This new layout improved the acoustics of the room and greatly enhanced the sightlines.
