The flexible performance venue accommodates theatrical productions, presentations, and special events while supporting multiple performance configurations and educational uses. Technical systems throughout the facility provide hands-on learning opportunities in theatre technology, production, and media creation. The ETV studio and animation alcove further expand the school’s capabilities for digital content creation and interdisciplinary arts programming.
Schuler Shook provided theatre planning and theatre design services for the project. For the main theatre, services included theatrical rigging and curtain systems, retractable audience seating, theatrical lighting power and data distribution systems, platforming systems, a tension wire grid, portable audience seating, and a variable acoustic system. Schuler Shook also provided advisory services for theatrical performance lighting fixtures and accessories. For the ETV studio, Schuler Shook designed the theatrical rigging and curtain system and theatrical lighting power and data distribution infrastructure and provided advisory services for performance lighting fixtures and accessories. For the animation alcove, Schuler Shook designed the theatrical rigging and curtain system.
