Guided by the vision of “a neighborhood where the arts welcome, heal, transform, and build power” 825 Arts embodies the strength and creativity of the Frogtown and Rondo area through authentic community engagement.
825 Arts
St. Paul, MN
After sitting quiet for 15 years, the historic 1915 Victoria Theatre was renovated and transformed into 825 Arts, a vibrant community arts hub in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Schuler Shook worked with the stakeholders to develop a flexible theatre space which meets the diverse programming needs and retains a sense of the historic fabric of the theatre. We also collaborated with the design team to bring modern lighting to the interior lobby and meeting spaces in addition to the historic façade.
The $6.5 million renovation included the 120-seat flexible theatre, support spaces and a community gathering space.
Lighting design was provided for the lobby and the exterior façade.
