Intentional use of repeated materials and finishes establishes continuity throughout the space, creating variations on a theme. Circular pendant luminaires recall vinyl records, while other elements reference speakers and musical instruments. Chrome and reflective surfaces are strategically employed to enhance depth, texture, and visual energy throughout.
Reverb HQ
Chicago, IL
Schuler Shook’s lighting design for the Reverb office was guided by a clear directive: create a workplace that feels elevated and distinctly unlike a conventional office environment.
Inspired by Reverb’s identity as an online marketplace for musicians, the lighting concept draws on subtle references to music and sound, translating them into a cohesive architectural language.
Designed to support approximately 200 employees, the office includes flexible work areas, practice rooms, a recording studio, event space, and the Whammy Bar lounge. Lighting responds to the unique needs of each program while maintaining a unified aesthetic across the workplace.
