Peter Lee

Lighting Design Intern

Peter studies Interior Architecture at Columbia College Chicago. During his academic career, he has participated in various competitions winning the Columbia College Chicago Fall Charette and placing as a finalist in the IIDA Student Design Charette. As he develops his design skills, he is learning the importance of good lighting design and the impact it can have on human health and well-being.

At Schuler Shook, he is also able to apply his 3D modeling and rendering capabilities to his work in lighting design.

“I’m fascinated by how essential lighting design is to our perception of the built environment and how our interactions with our environment are impacted by light.”

With a background in the construction industry, Peter understands what can and cannot be accomplished in real world applications. However, he sees these limitations as opportunities to push the boundaries of his creativity.
