Schuler Shook is pleased to announce Jim Hultquist, ASTC, as a Partner. Jim joined Schuler Shook in 2009 as a Senior Theatre Consultant, moving to Melbourne to work on the redevelopment of Hamer Hall.
Three years later, Jim helped to form a permanent Schuler Shook office in Australia and moved up to Principal in the firm. His calm, thoughtful, and open approach to each client’s project was instrumental in the growth of the practice, and the Melbourne office has now completed over 100 projects, including new theatres, renovations, studies, and master plans. Our Melbourne team currently includes eight designers, including theatre, lighting, and AV consultants.

In addition to the Hamer Hall redevelopment, Jim’s projects include the ongoing renovation of Arts Centre Melbourne, HMT Adelaide, Regent Theatre, Ulumbarra Theatre, Bunjil Place, Cairns Performing Arts Centre, HOTA Amphitheatre, and Presbyterian Ladies’ College. He continues to practice photography, hone his dry wit, and admire art and music.
