We are pleased to announce a well-deserved promotion and three new team members! Their experiences, perspectives, and unique identities help make us who we are together as one creative and connected team.
PROMOTION
Alex Robertson
Project Theatre Consultant, Visualization Leader
Alex is promoted to Visualization Leader, thanks to his top-notch problem-solving and 3D visualization skills. He leads the visualization team in development and use of interactive, modeling, XR, and video tools.
Alex joined Schuler Shook’s Dallas office as a Theatre Specialist in 2008 where he discovered that his technical theatre background and software skills were a great fit for theatre planning and consulting. Now a Project Theatre Consultant, he enjoys learning and sharing his knowledge with others, a talent that benefits his clients and colleagues alike. An avid craftsman, Alex’s most recent obsession is casting objects in polyester resin. He’s equally at home in “the real world” and in various virtual worlds.
Alex’s recent and current projects include KLRU Broadcast Studios, Austin, TX; Melissa High School Auditorium, Melissa, TX; Parish Episcopal School, Dallas, TX; and Coppell Arts Center, Coppell, TX.
NEW TEAM MEMBERS
Samantha Komber
Lighting Designer
Sam joins us full-time in Chicago, after completing an internship with us and earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architectural Engineering at Penn State. Her enthusiasm for architecture and design began at a young age through sketching and photography. Light is the medium through which she chooses to express her design talents and better the world around her.
When not combining art and science to create new lighting designs, Samantha enjoys playing soccer, drawing, and spending time with family and friends.
Jackson Lasseter
Theatre Specialist
Jackson discovered the world of theatre consulting through the USITT-ASTC Venue Renovation Challenge while at Emerson College. He joins us after seeing how he can be part of a team that creates performance spaces that work for everyone. Jackson enjoys the connections made in theatre and finds inspiration in helping to create spaces for shared experiences.
Outside the theatre, Jackson can be found poring over cookbooks in search of his next culinary adventure. We are hoping he makes those croissants again!
John P. Munoz
Theatre Specialist
Attracted to the permanence of designing for a performance space, John joins us in Dallas after gaining valuable technical theatre management experience from cruise ships to Broadway touring productions. John supports the theatre design team with his expert logistics skills and his desire to create spaces that serve audiences and theatre professionals.
John was proud to bike 90 miles in a single trip while gyms were closed during the pandemic. Yes, he took breaks and brought snacks.
