Kevin Greene
Project Theatre Consultant
Kevin is managing more complex projects as a Project Theatre Consultant in Schuler Shook’s Chicago office. He excelled in stage production work On- and Off-Broadway for nearly two decades before joining Schuler Shook as a Theatre Specialist in 2012. His experience in using theatre buildings has greatly informed his consulting work and his fine collaboration with clients. Kevin is a font of ideas with a “can do” attitude and the technical acumen to bring those concepts to life.
Kevin’s projects include Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Terrace Theater, Washington, DC; Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, Kirkwood, MO; Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Otto M. Budig Theater, Cincinnati, OH; and West Bloomfield High School Theatre Renovation, West Bloomfield, MI.
Lauren Gallup
Theatre Consultant
Lauren moves to Theatre Consultant after continued success in her role as Theatre Specialist in Dallas. Lauren is achieving her goal of helping to make theatres the best they can be for their particular programming, arts practitioners, and patrons. Clients value her creative problem solving and her valuable technical theatre experience gained via work across the US from regional theatre to opera productions to festivals.
Lauren’s projects include University of Memphis Scheidt Family Music Center, Memphis, TN; Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Memphis, TN; Lafayette High School, Lafayette, LA; and Carlsbad High School Performing Arts Center, Carlsbad, NM.
Patrick Knee
Theatre Consultant
Patrick, for more than 15 years, has contributed to the design and construction of a wide variety of buildings in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. As a registered architect, he brings experience and expertise in integration of building systems, sustainable design, and construction practices from previous projects including museums, airports, and recreation facilities. With his background in community and professional theatre, he now can contribute to his favorite types of buildings, those for the performing arts. He is excited to add his breadth of knowledge to the Schuler Shook team.
Patrick is currently providing services for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Advanced Planning, Dallas, TX; Humber College, Humber Cultural Hub, Toronto, ON; Scottsdale Civic Plaza, Scottsdale, AZ; and Fair Park, Community Park, Dallas TX.
Patrick enjoys playing board games except when the weather is nice, then he prefers to be making barbecue or assisting his son’s Scout troop activities.
Sten Severson
Audio Video Consultant
Sten has an extensive resume as a theatrical sound designer. His work includes Broadway, Off-Broadway, touring, regional, and international theatres. He leverages this practical experience into collaborative solutions to audio and video challenges in a wide array of venues. Sten has taught at New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts and at the Yale School of Drama training the next generation of sound designers.
Sten’s recent projects include Fairborn Phoenix Theatre, Fairborn, OH; Hudson Forum, Hudson, NY; Augusta Area Schools, V.W. & J.M Bethke Performing Arts Center, Augusta, WI; and San Diego Airport, Terminal 1 Stages, San Diego, CA.
After completing sound design for around 20 outdoor Shakespeare productions, Sten got comfortable working in the rain and still feels like he’s cheating if he comes inside to do a show.
Leann Fuqua
Audio Video Consultant
Leann joins us in our Dallas office as an audio video consultant. She trained in high frequency audio technology and the physics of sound and worked for twelve years with notable commercial clientele, federal entities, institutes of higher learning, performing arts venues, and e-Sports arenas. Recognized for her skills across audio and video design, engineering, and project management, Leann is a confident leader with a focus on real-world application of new technologies.
Leann enjoys attending live music events and exploring new restaurants from different cultures. She prefers to combine both once a week for mini vacations from the norm.
Benjamin Grohs
Theatre Specialist
With over twenty years in production management, set and sound design, broadcasting, and live events, Ben recognizes the requirements necessary to bring a multitude of performance types to fruition. His success at sharing knowledge clearly and simply reveals his teaching experience at the university level.
Ben has been hard at work on George Washington Carver Museum Cultural and Genealogy Center, Austin, TX; Yukon Public Schools College & Career Center, Yukon, OK; Bedford Performing Arts Centers, Bedford, TX; and Wells Community Academy High School, Chicago, IL.
Ben is an avid player of disc golf and enjoys camping, backpacking, hiking - just about anything in the great outdoors.
Kelly Murphey
Theatre Specialist
Kelly is our newest theatre specialist in the Dallas office. He comes to his role with over fifteen years of experience in theatre education, technical theatre, and design. He understands the importance of listening to the end user’s needs, having participated in two auditorium renovations during his years in education.
Kelly enjoys listening to Neil deGrasse Tyson’s StarTalk, doing collaborative theatre technology R&D with his design partner, and spending time with his lovely wife of 15 years.
