Promotions
Travis Shupe
Senior Lighting Designer
A professional, positive leader with excellent project management skills, Travis moves into the Senior Lighting Designer role. His teams appreciate his innovative approaches to lighting challenges, his videoconference and broadcast expertise, and his easygoing manner under deadline pressures.
His projects include Optiver US Headquarters, Chicago, IL; Convene, San Francisco, CA; Education Media Foundation Headquarters, Nashville, TN; and Howard Brown Health, Chicago, IL.
When he is not designing lighting, Travis can be found at Lillstreet’s ceramics studio on a potter’s wheel, creating objects for everyday use or relaxing at home with his perfect little dog named Chroma.
Samantha Komber
Project Lighting Designer
Samantha moves to Project Lighting Designer to take on more complex lighting design projects, a perfect fit for the smart, fast, and detail-oriented approach she brings to her work. Sam enjoys design collaboration where she can take initiative and elevate the team’s overall design schemes. Her great attitude makes the design process enjoyable, too.
Sam’s projects include Lorenzo Theater, San Lorenzo, CA; JP Morgan Client Centers, Pasadena, CA, and Seattle, WA; McDonald’s Global Flagship, Orlando, FL; and Katten Offices, Chicago, IL.
Outside of lighting design, Sam likes to spend time with her family and puppy Flynn, play soccer, draw, and read.
Scott Tobin
Lighting Designer
Recently promoted to Lighting Designer, Scott is a nimble thinker who continues to impress. He is a dedicated, thoughtful, and creative lighting designer with controls expertise and a multifaceted background in theatre, broadcast, and live events. A collaborator and active listener, Scott is a positive influence on the design team.
Scott’s projects include Austin Dual Brand Hotel, Austin, TX; University of Hawaii Manoa Master Plan, Honolulu, HI; 10 & 120 South Riverside Repositioning, Chicago, IL; and CareSource Headquarters Facade Lighting, Dayton, OH.
Scott loves to go camping and exploring the outdoors in his Jeep – which he also spends a lot of time fixing!
