St. Louis Symphony Orchestra – Jack C. Taylor Music Center
St. Louis, MO
The Jack C. Taylor Music Center is the newly opened home to St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, encompassing a monumental addition and the revitalized, historic Powell Hall.
Schuler Shook was involved with the project from the beginning, offering insights into programming, artistic and facility needs, and necessary pratical improvements.
Increased accessibility was of great importance to the client, with the request of accessible seating options far surpassing legal codes. A cross aisle was added, with accessible seating locations now available on each level. The seating was custom-made for the hall, and rows were widened to provide greater comfort for patrons.
