New spaces support experiential learning and digital media studios. More space for community gathering as well as study rooms and hangout space are part of the modernization.
Skokie Public Library
Skokie, IL
The storied public library in Skokie is a fixture in the community, providing space and services for adults and youth. The 1960’s building has been through a previous renovation but requires modernization to support the current needs and expectations of the community.
Schuler Shook’s lighting designers worked closely with the project team to design new lighting that honors the building’s notable architecture, connects the original and new buildings, and balances electric light with daylight.
