Alex Peck

Project Lighting / Theatre / Audio Video Consultant

The alteration of perception and emotion using light is what drew Alex into the world of theatre; it was positive phototropism at first sight. While working as an amateur lighting designer, Alex completed his BFA in technical theatre where he learned to visualize and communicate clearly with multiple designers over concurrent projects. Alex’s experience includes working as a lead tech at a live events company for 4 years, assisting design lighting, audio, and video rigs for small and large-scale productions. He transitioned to a managerial position, where he instructed employees on basic and advanced courses for lighting, audio, video in consoles, software, hardware, and rigging.

Inspired by light’s ability to change the way people observe and experience life, Alex continued his education and received an MFA in lighting design. His education includes studies in Theatre, Architecture, Fine Arts, Installation, Immersive, Live Event, and Environmental Lighting Design. His background in Technical Theater and Live Entertainment have helped him develop skills for Architecture in Revit, Elumtools, lighting calculation analysis, and 3D rendering software.
