For the first time in its nearly 90-year history, The Theatre School at DePaul is operating in a showcase building specifically designed for theatre training, with everyone and everything in one place. Its new, custom-designed building was devised in unusually deep collaboration with school faculty and administrators, providing new classroom, rehearsal, design and performance spaces that finally align DePaul’s facilities with the school’s national ranking for theatre training excellence.
For the first time since 2001, USITT awarded three honor awards. The other two recipients were the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool, UK; and the Salle de Spectacles de Mont-Laurier, Quebec, Canada.
