We celebrate the continued professional growth of our team members through well-deserved promotions, and we happily introduce three new team members!
Mike Libby
Project Lighting Designer
Mike moves into the Project Lighting Designer role in Schuler Shook’s Minneapolis office which he joined as a Lighting Designer in 2018. Mike uses his electrical engineering background to master the technical side of lighting and controls. He refines his eye for light’s impact on our world through photography. He advocates for well-integrated lighting solutions that support the form and function of the spaces he lights.
Mike’s projects include Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport Terminal Renovations, Louisville, KY; Arvonne Fraser Library, Minneapolis, MN; and Rand Tower Hotel, Minneapolis, MN.
Zachary Briscoe
Theatre Consultant
Recently promoted to Theatre Consultant, Zach got his start as a Theatre Specialist in Schuler Shook’s Dallas office. He combines a grasp of the technical components necessary in our work with active listening skills, helping him to meet clients’ needs with true solutions.
Zach’s projects include University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Chickasha, OK; The University of Texas at Austin, Bass Hall – Balcony Seating, Austin, TX; and Dickinson Junior High #3, Texas City, TX.
Jonah Free
Theatre Specialist
Jonah joins us in Dallas after spending time on the road, honing his stage and experiential production techniques and telling immersive stories through special effects and pyrotechnics. His time in scene shops, theatre spaces, tour buses, and stadiums gives him a profound appreciation and understanding of the storytelling process and how dedication to creating the experience can elevate the most modest stage. He completed his BFA at Emerson College and plans to continue to learn, grow, and apply his experiential storytelling expertise to our projects.
Jonah enjoys reading science fiction, tinkering with his latest piece of tech, and having friendly debates over dinner (or heated ones over a bottle of wine).
Ksenia Oquist
Operations Coordinator
A clear and friendly communicator, Ksenia enjoys working with people to help solve problems together. She blends interpersonal skills and poise with a neat and tidy checklist, keeping our operations running smoothly across multiple locations.
Ksenia loves early 20th century American poetry, listening to ABBA in the mornings, and the occasional trip to the Altay Mountains for some hiking.
Elizabeth Tyska
Accounting Coordinator
Elizabeth joins us in a role that employs her aptitude for accounting and her passion for helping artists thrive. She works to shorten transaction cycles and applies a detail-oriented approach to all things expense-related.
When she’s not working, Elizabeth likes trying new restaurants and attempting to copy their recipes at home, with varying degrees of success. In the near future, she hopes to adopt a cat.
