Michael D. White IES, LC, EDAC, LEED AP

Senior Lighting Designer

Light is an architectural material to be designed and specified in pursuit of an architectural solution for a customer. Michael White has applied his philosophy of design to a variety of projects including airports, high-end office buildings, museums, churches, restaurants, convention facilities and residences.  His diverse background includes business development for deregulated electric utilities, marketing for a major building controls manufacturer, and performance lighting for theater, dance and opera.

As part of a major lighting efficiency study at the Capitol Complex, Michael led a team of designers in developing strategies to significantly reduce lighting energy use in numerous buildings, including the State Office Building. Solutions included replacing inefficient fixtures with new state-of-the-art luminaires, and installation of a lighting control system with a link to the central building management system.
