Jesse Campbell

Lighting Design Intern

A first glimpse of Jesse’s accomplishments and range of interests can be seen in his education and training. He has earned a BA in Communication, a BFA in Dance, and multiple associate degrees ranging from English to Computer Science. He is currently completing an MS degree in Project Management from The University of New Mexico.

Following his dance studies, Jesse was a professional ballet dancer for ten years performing in various companies throughout the United States with international guest appearances. Most notably, he has danced as a member of The Metropolitan Opera Ballet at Lincoln Center in New York as well as The Suzanne Farrell Ballet at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

His interest in lighting design ignited as soon as he started dancing. For him, the two art forms are complementary in ways relating to line, form, composition, and technique.

Jesse is excited to work with the award-winning lighting design teams at Schuler Shook to create meaningful lighting environments that are sustainably crafted. His approach is both artistic and scientific with ideas that are thoughtfully implemented to make a lasting impression of ease, brilliance, and well-being.
