We seek an organized, creative and proactive person with strong communication skills, personal initiative and Adobe Creative Suite experience to join us as the Marketing Coordinator based in our Chicago office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be an integral part of our team, assisting the Marketing and Business Development Principal and creating website content, promotional materials, social media posts, and proposal responses.

Get to know us – the people behind the brand – so that you can write about what we do and why we do it.
Prepare proposal materials, applying Schuler Shook’s marketing and graphic design standards to all materials.
Create marketing collateral.
Maintain Schuler Shook’s brand and voice consistency.
Work with lighting designers, theatre planners, and audio video designers to develop presentations and gather project information for marketing use.
Help generate ideas for social media campaigns and create content for social media.
Help create content for our website, awards, and publications.
Help create video content.
Assist with obtaining in-house and professional photography and organizing image assets.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE POSITION
Skill Set:
Strong storytelling skills – in writing, graphics, or video
Positive attitude
Strong organizational skills
Good time-management skills including meeting deadlines
Ability to complete tasks on your own and work well with people in small teams
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software
Experience with or ability to learn email blast (EMD) or database software
Understanding of basic marketing principals, preferably for the AEC industry
Knowledge Areas:
Proposal production and content creation
RFQ/RFP criteria and decision/selection process, or an interest and ability to learn
Website CMS use
Records management systems for projects, personnel, subconsultants, proposals, and visual information
AEC industry terminology and procedures – a basic understanding
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related area
