The Museum of Science and Industry has invited Schuler Shook to create lighting designs for a number of projects from master planning to exhibit lighting to exterior lighting.
The United Airlines “Take Flight” exhibit uses lighting, special effects and sound to simulate a full flight experience from takeoff to landing within the exhibit gallery that houses a full-size Boeing 727 aircraft. Schuler Shook provided lighting for the aircraft interior and flight exhibits within the hall.
Schuler Shook’s lighting for the e-Suite interactive classroom at MSI allows for participation in hospital heart surgeries via teleconference equipment, cameras, plasma screens, lighting and computer equipment. This project was a collaboration with architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
